Zak Starkey Collaborates with Lennon, McCartney Sons on New Single

Zak Starkey, son of Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, has collaborated on a new song titled 'Rip Off' with Sean Lennon and James McCartney, sons of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, respectively. Despite initially avoiding such collaborations due to fears of being judged, Starkey developed close friendships with James and Sean over the years, leading to their musical partnership. The track also features lyrical contributions from Mantra bandmate Shaun Ryder, who wrote and recorded his parts swiftly, adding a political dance music element. Starkey reached out to George Harrison's son Dhani Harrison after the project to explain that the collaboration was full and amicable, with Dhani understanding and supportive. This collaboration comes amid Starkey's recent firing from The Who, marking a new chapter in his career with fresh projects. Additionally, Starkey's band Mantra of the Cosmos is preparing to release more music, including a new single and an upcoming album.
