Reading Police Seek Driver in Hit-and-Run Incident

In Reading, Massachusetts, police are seeking assistance from the public to locate a hit-and-run driver who injured an officer during a traffic stop on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. near 326 Lowell St. when the officer was struck on the elbow by the side-view mirror of a red, older-model pickup truck, which then fled the scene. The officer was treated at a local hospital and released with minor injuries. Authorities are urging residents to review their surveillance footage for any evidence of the truck, which is believed to have turned south on Willow Street after the incident.
