Eight Arrested in Delaware Drug Trafficking Operation

A significant drug trafficking operation, dubbed Operation Rat Pack, has been dismantled in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, resulting in the arrest of eight individuals, with a ninth suspect still being sought. The operation, which began in February 2024, involved a multi-agency investigation led by the Delaware County Narcotics Task Force, Delaware State Police, and the FBI. The ringleader, Baruti Mills, 46, was identified as the main orchestrator of cocaine supplies from various sources, including Philadelphia. The arrested individuals face serious charges such as operating a corrupt organization, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy, and firearms offenses. Authorities executed search warrants on August 13, leading to the seizure of over $63,000 in cash, six vehicles, and illegal drugs. District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer emphasized the operation's focus on dismantling corrupt organizations rather than just street-level dealers.
