Woman, 47, Charged with Murdering Child in Leeds

A 47-year-old woman, Pippa McGrath, has been charged with the murder of a three-year-old girl found dead at a property in Austhorpe Court, Leeds. Emergency services responded to a call regarding the child's safety on July 30, but the girl was pronounced dead at the scene, and McGrath was taken to hospital before her arrest. The woman, an illegal immigrant with two other children, has given conflicting accounts of the child's death, and investigations continue, including inquiries into an elderly man who frequently visited her and the whereabouts of the children's father.
