Man Charged After Liverpool Soccer Parade Crash Injures 79

Paul Doyle, a 53-year-old man from West Derby, Liverpool, has been charged with seven serious offenses following the incident where his car plowed into a crowd celebrating Liverpool Football Club’s Premier League title win, injuring 79 people. The victims ranged in age from nine to 78, with seven individuals remaining hospitalized in stable condition. Police believe Doyle was able to bypass a roadblock by following an ambulance responding to a medical emergency, and they have ruled out terrorism, stating the act was isolated and that Doyle acted alone.
