Sudan Civil War Escalates Amid Humanitarian Crisis

The civil war in Sudan, ongoing since April 2023, has resulted in one of the world's worst humanitarian crises, with widespread violence primarily perpetrated by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Recent attacks by the RSF in Sudan's Gezira state have left over 120 civilians dead, with accusations of mass killings, sexual violence, and looting. These atrocities bear similarities to the Darfur genocide of the early 2000s, with women and children particularly affected.
