In South Carolina alone, over 3,000 technicians are working to repair 188 miles of damaged network lines, but many neighborhoods remain without service due to the complexity of the restoration process involving power and infrastructure damage. Affected customers have received automated messages apologizing for the inconvenience and providing updates on restoration efforts, which are expected to continue throughout the day. The situation is exacerbated by previous infrastructure problems, including damaged fiber optic cables due to construction and weather-related issues. Spectrum has not provided a specific timeline for when full service will be restored.
