Rodeo FX Acquires Mikros Animation Amid Technicolor Bankruptcy

Rodeo FX, known for its work on hits like 'Game of Thrones' and 'Dune', has officially acquired Mikros Animation, previously a subsidiary of Technicolor, which recently ceased operations. The acquisition includes all of Mikros Animation's operations and equipment, ensuring continuity of its projects, such as the upcoming 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' sequel and the third 'Paw Patrol' movie. Rodeo FX's CEO, Sebastien Moreau, emphasized that this move is about more than expansion; it aims to create a collaborative environment for storytelling and creativity. Mikros Animation has a strong track record, contributing to 17 feature films and nearly 300 hours of television programming across major networks. Both companies expressed mutual respect and excitement for the new opportunities this partnership will bring. Julien Meesters, the new president of Mikros Animation, stated that joining Rodeo FX opens new avenues for exploration and innovation in animation.
