Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspect

Gwinnett County police are seeking the public's assistance in locating 17-year-old Jay-Lan Broughton, who is wanted for multiple armed robberies that occurred on May 24 in Buford. The victims reported that Broughton, armed with a gun and accompanied by four accomplices, stole their jewelry, debit cards, AirPods, and licenses. Investigators identified Broughton through video surveillance and connected him to the crime via Edmond Buggs, another 17-year-old who was arrested for a separate robbery and admitted his involvement. Broughton remains at large and is believed to still be armed with a black handgun. Authorities are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the Gwinnett County Police or Crime Stoppers, where tips can be made anonymously for potential rewards. The search for Broughton continues as detectives attempt to bring him into custody.
