High Point's Alan Huss Joins Creighton As Coach-In-Waiting

Alan Huss, High Point University's men's basketball head coach, is set to leave the program to join Creighton University as the head coach-in-waiting under current head coach Greg McDermott. Huss, a Creighton alum and former assistant coach under McDermott, is expected to ease the transition for Creighton once McDermott retires, which is anticipated within the next two seasons. During his tenure at High Point, Huss led the team to a 56-15 record and their first NCAA Tournament appearance. McDermott has been a significant figure at Creighton, leading them to ten NCAA Tournament appearances and achieving over 600 career wins. Huss’s return to Creighton marks a strategic move for the program, ensuring a smooth leadership transition while maintaining the team's competitive edge.
