Hampshire Signs Dewald Brevis for T20 Blast Season

Dewald Brevis, a promising young South African cricketer, has signed with Hampshire Hawks for the upcoming Vitality T20 Blast campaign and may also participate in the County Championship. The 21-year-old gained prominence during the 2022 ICC Men’s U19 World Cup, where he scored 506 runs, and has since showcased his talent in various T20 leagues, including the IPL and SA20. Excited about joining Hampshire, Brevis expressed his hopes to contribute significantly to the team's success, particularly aiming for Finals Day and potentially lifting the trophy. He joins fellow South African Lhuan-dre Pretorius, adding further firepower to Hampshire's batting lineup. Brevis has also established a solid first-class cricket record, with over 1,000 runs in 17 matches.
