Morocco Arrests 152 for Inciting Illegal Migration

Morocco has arrested 152 individuals for inciting illegal immigration to the Spanish enclave of Ceuta via social media. This follows a recent surge in attempted crossings, with approximately 3,000 young Moroccans trying to migrate illegally from the town of Fnideq, which has been met with heavy police presence and thwarted attempts. Government spokesman Mustapha Baitas confirmed that all migration attempts have been successfully stopped, asserting that no fatalities occurred during the confrontations. The Moroccan authorities have reported blocking over 45,000 illegal migration attempts in the first eight months of the year and dismantling numerous human trafficking networks.
