Dani Busboom Kelly Returns to Nebraska as Coach

Dani Busboom Kelly, a key figure in Louisville Volleyball's rise to national prominence, has accepted the head coaching position at her alma mater, Nebraska, succeeding John Cook who has retired. Under her leadership since 2017, Louisville achieved two national runner-up finishes, three national semifinal appearances, and four ACC championships, with an impressive overall record of 203-44. Her departure was expected as Nebraska had included a clause in her contract waiving any buyout if she was offered a head coaching role there. Dan Meske, the current associate head coach at Louisville, is set to replace her pending formal approval, bringing over 16 years of experience to continue the program's trajectory. Meske has been pivotal in Louisville's success alongside Busboom Kelly, achieving similar accolades and earning the AVCA Assistant Coach of the Year award in 2022. Busboom Kelly's return to Nebraska is seen as a continuation of her legacy, both as a former player and assistant coach.
