A severe G4-class geomagnetic storm triggered by a coronal mass ejection caused the northern lights to be visible across various parts of the world on Monday night, including New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, and even as far south as Texas and Alabama. The lights, which typically require a clear, dark sky and can be enhanced by smartphone cameras, were also visible in the UK and are expected to be seen in Australia, particularly in Tasmania and southern Victoria. The aurora borealis provided spectacular displays of neon shades and pulsing lights, delighting sky watchers and photographers. Additionally, a harvest supermoon and partial lunar eclipse are set to provide more celestial shows in the coming nights.
