Wafer stood out with four tries—joint-most by any forward—70 carries (the tournament's highest), 424.7 metres gained, and 17 defenders beaten, contributing to Ireland's third-place finish. She was named to the team of the tournament alongside Neve Jones and Aoife Dalton. Wafer described the award as a significant personal milestone and credited her teammates and family, expressing hope that it would inspire young girls to participate in sports.
