The Jesus Lizard Releases New Single 'Westside' Ahead of Tour

The Jesus Lizard has released a new standalone single titled 'Westside,' following their prior single 'Cost of Living,' both of which are linked by influences from Leonard Bernstein's 'West Side Story' and David Lynch's 'Lost Highway.' Guitarist Duane Denison noted that 'Westside' was subconsciously inspired by these works, while vocalist David Yow highlighted a specific lyric referencing Lynch’s film. The song arrives just before the band embarks on a US tour starting May 2nd in Solana Beach, California, following their first album in 26 years, 'Rack,' which has received critical acclaim. The Jesus Lizard, known for their influential noise-rock sound, continues to captivate audiences with their energetic and unique musical style. 'Westside' is available digitally through Ipecac Recordings, alongside the tour ticket sales that are reportedly running low.
