HBO Max Orders Big Bang Spinoff 'Stuart Fails'
HBO Max has officially ordered 'Stuart Fails to Save the Universe,' a new The Big Bang Theory spinoff starring Kevin Sussman as Stuart Bloom, with Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn, and John Ross Bowie reprising their roles. The series, co-created by Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady, and Zak Penn, features Stuart accidentally triggering a multiverse Armageddon after breaking a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, leading the group on a quest to restore reality. The show promises a blend of comedy, science fiction, and fantasy, with extensive CGI and alternate-universe versions of beloved Big Bang Theory characters. Lorre describes the project as a radical departure aimed at the original fanbase, while Zak Penn recounted the show's creative formation. No official release date has been announced. This spinoff continues the franchise's expansion following 'Young Sheldon' and 'Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.'
