Netflix Live-Action and Hulu Anime Updates
Netflix’s live-action One Piece Season 2, officially subtitled Into the Grand Line, is slated for 2026 and — according to a Writers Guild listing — will consist of eight episodes whose titles largely riff on movie references and map to story arcs including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Laboon), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden and Drum Island. Netflix has shared first-look images for Whiskey Peak/Cactus Island and Laboon and casting teases that reportedly include David Dasmalchian as Mr. 3, while a rumor that Xolo Maridueña would play Ace has been publicly denied. Separately, Hulu will add 65 dubbed One Piece episodes (747–812) on Nov. 6, covering the Silver Mine, Zou and Whole Cake Island arcs and bringing its anime library closer to current availability. Whole Cake Island (2017–2019) is highlighted as a major arc featuring Luffy vs. Big Mom and important Sanji backstory. Between Hulu’s sizable anime drop and Netflix’s arc-driven live-action rollout, fans can expect more canonical One Piece storylines across both streaming platforms in the coming year.
