Two Arrested in Brazil Over Lady Gaga Concert Bomb Plot

Brazilian authorities arrested two suspects, including a teenager, for plotting a bomb attack at Lady Gaga's free concert on Copacabana Beach, which drew over two million attendees. The suspects, allegedly affiliated with an online group spreading hate against the LGBTQIA+ community, planned to use improvised explosives and Molotov cocktails to gain notoriety on social media. They recruited minors online, encouraging radicalization and violence, and one was found in possession of child pornography. Police, supported by the Ministry of Justice, conducted raids across multiple states, seizing weapons and electronic devices and preventing the attack before it could be carried out. Despite the security threat, the concert proceeded without incident under heavy police presence, setting a record for the largest attendance at a female artist's concert in Brazil. The suspects falsely presented themselves as members of Lady Gaga's fanbase to recruit participants for the planned attack.
