Security forces in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, arrested a terrorist associate of the banned Jammu and Kashmir Ghaznavi Force (JKGF) named Mohammad Shabir on Thursday evening. During a routine checking operation at Potha bypass, Shabir was found carrying a blue bag containing three HE-36 hand grenades, explosive substances, and other incriminating materials. He was allegedly in contact with a handler from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Azim Khan alias Mudeer, who directed him to collect the explosives from Surankote town. The arrest is part of a broader security initiative, following previous incidents involving JKGF, which has been linked to attacks on police and religious sites. Authorities are conducting further investigations, anticipating more arrests related to this case. The JKGF was banned earlier this year and is known for carrying out violent acts in the region.
