Avatar: The Way of Water Returns to Theaters in 3D October 3

The Oscar-winning film "Avatar: The Way of Water" is set for a global one-week 3D re-release starting October 3, ahead of the upcoming third installment, "Avatar: Fire and Ash." Directed by James Cameron, the film continues the story of the Sully family as they navigate new challenges and dangers in the visually stunning world of Pandora, introducing new Na'vi cultures and exotic sea creatures. Originally released in 2022, the movie grossed over $2.3 billion worldwide, making it the third highest-grossing film of all time and winning an Academy Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects. The re-release is being promoted with a new trailer and poster to build excitement for the franchise's continuation later this year. Produced by Cameron and Jon Landau, the film features a star-studded cast including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, and Kate Winslet, alongside several newcomers. The screenplay was co-written by Cameron, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and others, with executive producers David Valdes and Richard Baneham.
