Search continues for missing University of Pittsburgh student in Punta Cana

Sudiksha Konanki, a 20-year-old University of Pittsburgh student, went missing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, on March 6, following a night out with friends. Surveillance footage captured her walking toward the beach with fellow student Joshua Riibe, who is not considered a suspect but is cooperating with authorities as a witness. Riibe stated that they were swept into the ocean by a wave while swimming, and he attempted to help Konanki but lost sight of her. Investigators believe her disappearance may be the result of drowning, treating the incident as an accident rather than foul play. The search for Konanki has continued for nearly two weeks, with her family urging authorities to expand their investigation.
