Wilmington Plans Multiple New Recreation, Entertainment Spaces

As summer approaches in 2025, several regions across the U.S. are preparing to offer a variety of entertainment and recreational activities. In Maine, Funtown Splashtown USA in Saco plans to open in early June, featuring over 50 rides, water slides, pools, games, dining options, and a gift shop for family fun. Delaware beaches are set to host multiple summer events, including art festivals, Independence Day parades and fireworks, and unique local traditions like Dewey Beach's bull-costume run, while the community playground there has recently been improved to accommodate the growing number of families. In the UK, plans have been submitted for a new leisure and community hub near Bridgwater, which will replace the 37 Club with facilities including snooker tables, skittles alleys, and a licensed bar. Wilmington, North Carolina, is poised for significant recreational expansion with the upcoming opening of Dave & Buster's offering arcade games and dining, alongside proposals for other entertainment venues such as bowling alleys, pickleball courts, and swimming pools, which promise to enhance the city’s social scene.
