Freddie Gibbs, Alchemist Detail Alfredo 2 Release

Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist will release their sequel album, Alfredo 2, on July 25, 2025, five years after their Grammy-nominated Alfredo. The album features guest appearances from Anderson .Paak, Larry June, and JID, and is launched alongside the single "1995," a nod to their earlier work. To celebrate, they produced a 15-minute yakuza noir-inspired short film, Alfredo: The Movie, filmed in Tokyo and directed by Nick Walker, which explores a stylized criminal underworld and showcases their creative collaboration. Exclusive signed vinyl editions will be available, and a special Los Angeles event will include a photo exhibition, film screening, and limited-edition merchandise. Pre-orders are open, with the film and single accessible online. The duo highlight their strong artistic chemistry, stating more features are unnecessary at this point in their careers.
