BlackBerry Reports Q4 Revenue of $141.7M, Net Loss Narrows
BlackBerry Limited reported better-than-expected financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025, with revenue of $141.7 million and adjusted earnings per share of $0.03, surpassing analyst forecasts. Despite strong performance in its QNX, Secure Communications, and Licensing divisions, the company provided weak forward guidance, projecting first-quarter revenue between $107 million and $115 million, below the $128.4 million consensus. The company also anticipates full fiscal year 2026 revenue of $504 million to $534 million, which is less than analysts' expectations of $550.6 million. Although BlackBerry narrowed its net loss to $7.4 million from $56.2 million a year earlier, its stock fell 2.14% in after-hours trading. CEO John J. Giamatteo highlighted the sale of the Cylance business to Arctic Wolf as a significant step in strengthening the company's balance sheet. The overall sentiment reflected a focus on the conservative outlook rather than the positive quarterly results.
