SA20 Tournament Begins January 9, 2025

The third season of the SA20 cricket league will commence on January 9, 2025, with defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape facing MI Cape Town at St. George's Park in Gqeberha. The tournament will conclude with the final at the Wanderers Stadium on February 8. Notable new players include Ben Stokes and Trent Boult for MI Cape Town, alongside Kane Williamson for the Durban Super Giants. The playoff structure remains unchanged, with top four teams progressing through Qualifier 1 and 2, and an Eliminator match. Gqeberha and Centurion will host playoff matches, enhancing the league's venue diversity. League Commissioner Graeme Smith emphasized that this season aims to be bigger and better, featuring a strong lineup of international talents.
