Buriram United eliminated Ulsan Hyundai from the Asian Champions League Elite with a 2-1 victory, sealing Ulsan's hopes of progressing to the knockout stage. Suphanat Mueanta scored the winning goal in stoppage time after Guilherme Bissoli had opened the scoring for Buriram, and Jang Si-young equalized for Ulsan. Buriram now sits sixth in the standings and can advance to the next round with a draw against Gwangju FC. Ulsan, former champions, finished with just three points from seven matches and were five points off the qualifying spots. Meanwhile, Japanese teams Yokohama F Marinos, Vissel Kobe, and Kawasaki Frontale are also poised to confirm their progression to the last 16. The knockout rounds will begin in March, with the finals set to be held in Saudi Arabia in April and May.
