KF Aerospace Expands Fleet for 10-Year Purolator Contract

KF Aerospace has acquired a second ATR 72-500 bulk freighter from ACIA Aero Leasing to support its renewed 10-year contract with Purolator for the British Columbia Feeder Network. The aircraft is set to join KF’s air cargo fleet by April 2025, replacing aging Convair 580s and enhancing operational efficiency. Tracy Medve, president and CEO of KF Aerospace, emphasized the importance of this acquisition for the fleet modernization, noting it required minimal work to be service-ready. The new contract requires a total of three aircraft, including two containerized and one bulk loader. This strategic move aims to improve cargo handling capabilities and operational flexibility while maintaining a long-standing partnership with ACIA. KF Aerospace has been affiliated with Purolator since 1976, showcasing a deep-rooted business relationship.
