Swindon Sign Bristol City’s Knight-Lebel, Murphy on Loan

Swindon Town have secured defender Jamie Knight-Lebel and midfielder Adam Murphy on loan from Bristol City for the remainder of the season, with both deals including a recall option in January. Knight-Lebel, a 20-year-old centre-back who previously spent a successful loan spell at Crewe Alexandra, has made appearances for both Bristol City and the Canadian national team, and is currently on international duty ahead of friendlies against Romania and Wales. He expressed enthusiasm about joining Swindon, noting his familiarity with the club and eagerness to continue developing as a player in League Two. Meanwhile, Murphy, also 20, has been part of Bristol City's academy since early 2024 after transferring from St Patrick's Athletic and will join Swindon after completing his commitments with the Ireland Under-21 squad. Swindon's technical staff view the additions as positive moves to strengthen their squad depth and cover in key positions. Both players are expected to contribute immediately once they integrate with the team following their respective international duties.
