The Telangana government has introduced a comprehensive new MSME policy aimed at accelerating the growth and development of micro, small, and medium enterprises in the state. Key initiatives include the creation of a special steering committee and dedicated MSME wing to ensure effective policy implementation. The government has committed to clearing Rs 1,600 crore in pending incentives to MSMEs within six months and will benefit from the World Bank-assisted RAMP scheme with a project cost of ₹117.35 crore to support MSME resilience and recovery post-COVID-19. Additionally, a special Yantram Fund of Rs 100 crore over four years will be set up for technology transfer and modernization in the MSME sector. The policy includes preferential procurement from SC/ST and women-owned MSMEs and aims to establish over 25,000 new MSMEs in the next five years.
