Thomas Pizarro Charged in Lawrence Murder

Thomas A. Pizarro, a 33-year-old resident of Methuen, has been charged with the murder of 33-year-old Steven Hernandez following a shooting incident on September 14 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Pizarro was arrested in Boston and has pleaded not guilty to the charges, with his arraignment scheduled for October 11. Hernandez was found with gunshot wounds on Water Street and later died at Lawrence General Hospital. In a separate case, 24-year-old Brandon Beasley has been charged with murder in the shooting death of DeAndre Smith, 28, which occurred on September 12 in Metcalf Park, Orange. Beasley is currently held at the Essex County Correctional Facility awaiting his court appearance. Both cases highlight rising concerns over gun violence in the Essex County area.
