Eric André Accuses Melbourne Airport of Profiling

Eric André, a well-known comedian and actor, has accused Melbourne Airport of racial profiling after being stopped and searched by customs officials during a recent trip. André, who has faced similar incidents at other airports, described being pulled out of a lineup and subjected to a sniffer dog search at Qantas International Terminal 2. He urged Black, brown, and Indigenous travelers to be cautious and requested information on the officers involved and Australian discrimination lawyers. André expressed his discomfort and called the procedure racially discriminatory, also asking future employers in Australia to provide security escorts or alternative airport routes to avoid further incidents. Melbourne Airport stated they do not tolerate racism and are following up on his complaints.
