Raids in Michigan, California Yield Multiple Drug Arrests

Authorities in Macomb County conducted coordinated raids at Area 51 Hookah and Tobacco shops in Clinton Township and Mount Clemens, as well as a residence in Eastpointe, seizing about 10 pounds of marijuana, 600 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, five firearms, nearly $23,000 in cash, and two vehicles. Two men, aged 44 and 33, were arrested and are being held pending arraignment. In a separate incident in Porterville, police arrested Elijio Ceballos and Maria Zaragoza after a traffic stop uncovered methamphetamine and a loaded AR-15 rifle, with Ceballos facing multiple drug and weapon charges as a felon. The Macomb County raids were carried out by the Sheriff's Enforcement Team following an investigation. Psilocybin mushrooms, found in the raids, remain illegal federally and are not legalized in Michigan. Both cases highlight ongoing law enforcement efforts to address illegal drug and firearm activity.
