Flagg, Broome among Wooden Award finalists for 2025
Auburn's Johni Broome and Duke's Cooper Flagg are among the five finalists for the prestigious John R. Wooden Award, which honors the top men's college basketball player. Joining them are Florida's Walter Clayton Jr., Alabama's Mark Sears, and Purdue's Braden Smith. The finalists were announced ahead of the Final Four, where Broome and Flagg will lead their teams this weekend. Both players have had standout seasons, with Broome averaging 18.7 points and 10.9 rebounds, and Flagg averaging 18.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. The Wooden Award winner will be revealed on April 11 at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. The finalists were also recognized as part of the Wooden All-America team, showcasing their significant achievements throughout the season.
