Hotelier Henry Thirsk Crushed by Vehicle

Henry Thirsk, a 74-year-old hotelier, was accidentally crushed by his own Range Rover on April 20, 2022, near his home in Everingham, East Yorkshire. An inquest revealed that Thirsk likely left the vehicle in reverse before exiting, leading it to roll back and fatally injure him. His wife, Sarah-Jane Thirsk, discovered him near their garage after seeing the car's lights from her bathroom and initially mistaking his body for 'sacks'. Despite her frantic attempts to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner ruled the incident an accident with no one to blame, noting Thirsk had been in good health despite previous strokes.
