A series of confrontations between an armed suspect and Los Angeles police occurred early Monday morning in North Hollywood, resulting in the suspect's death. The initial incident began around 4:50 a.m. when police responded to a shooting call on Victory Boulevard, where they found a person fatally shot inside a vehicle. The suspect, who pointed a handgun at officers and later fired at them, fled to a nearby parking structure behind a Target store. After a foot chase and multiple exchanges of gunfire, the suspect was shot and killed by the police. Victory Boulevard and parts of the 170 Freeway were temporarily closed for the investigation. The identities of the deceased individuals have not been disclosed, and it remains unclear if the suspect was involved in the initial shooting of the person in the vehicle.
