Spirit Music Acquires Select HARDY Catalog, Signs Exclusive Songwriting Deal

Spirit Music Group has acquired select compositions from country rock artist and songwriter HARDY's music publishing catalog and signed him to a go-forward exclusive songwriting agreement with Spirit Music Nashville. While financial terms were not disclosed, the deal excludes HARDY's first rock radio chart-topper "JACK" and allows him to retain his partnership with Relative Music Group and Sony Music Publishing, who continue to own portions of the catalog. HARDY, a five-time ACM Award winner, two-time CMA Award winner, and 2022 BMI Country Songwriter of the Year, has penned 16 No. 1 singles and collaborated with major artists like Morgan Wallen, Carrie Underwood, and Jelly Roll. Spirit Music executives praised HARDY as a "multi-genre force of nature" and expressed excitement about helping him build on his already successful career. HARDY expressed enthusiasm about joining Spirit Music, emphasizing their belief in his songwriting. His upcoming album, COUNTRY! COUNTRY!, is set for release on September 26.
