Best Virginia Loses TBT Semifinal Charleston Coliseum

Best Virginia's basketball alumni team made history by reaching the semifinal round of The Basketball Tournament (TBT) for the first time, ultimately falling 85-77 to Eberlein Drive. The team received strong support from Mountaineer Nation fans, who cheered them on during all five tournament games held at the Charleston Coliseum. Eberlein Drive's guard Gabe York was instrumental in the victory, scoring 25 points including crucial three-pointers in the Elam Ending that sealed the game. A key factor in Best Virginia's loss was Eberlein Drive's dominant rebounding advantage, outboarded 43-22, including 19 offensive rebounds leading to multiple second-chance points. Despite the defeat, Best Virginia expressed gratitude to fans, players, coaches, and sponsors, emphasizing their mission to elevate basketball in West Virginia through both their TBT team and AAU program. The team remains optimistic about future runs toward the championship and the $1 million prize.
