India Warns Google Chrome Users of Vulnerabilities

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a severe warning for Google Chrome users, highlighting critical vulnerabilities in versions prior to 130.0.6723.116 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. These flaws, found in the browser's 'Serial' and 'Family Experience' components, could allow hackers to execute arbitrary code, access sensitive information, or trigger Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. Google has confirmed the discovery of 12 security issues and released an update to Chrome version 131 to address these vulnerabilities. Users are strongly advised to update their browsers immediately to safeguard against potential cyber threats. Failure to do so could leave millions exposed to exploitation, especially as many users neglect regular updates. The government emphasizes the urgency of installing the latest patches to close these security gaps.
