Michigan, Michigan State Football Secure Multiple 2026 Recruits

Michigan and Michigan State football programs are actively building their 2026 recruiting classes with notable commitments. Michigan recently secured linebacker Markel Dabney from Richmond, VA, who had initially committed to SMU, adding to their 16-player class ranked 11th nationally by 247Sports and On3. The Wolverines' recruiting class has also improved to No. 17 in ESPN's rankings, featuring six ESPN 300 commits, including quarterback Brady Smigiel and defensive end Titan Davis, aiming to boost the team following an 8-5 season. Meanwhile, Michigan State has bolstered its secondary with the commitment of three-star cornerback Jeremiah Favorite from Boiling Springs, South Carolina, who chose the Spartans over multiple offers and became their 21st commit of the class. Favorite joins a strong defensive back group and contributes to Michigan State's momentum, having added 17 recruits in June alone. Both programs are focused on strengthening their rosters through these recruiting efforts to improve future performance.
