Peyton Manning Joins Denver NWSL Team Ownership

Peyton Manning, NFL Hall of Famer, has joined the ownership group of Denver's new National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) team, set to begin play in 2026 as the league's 16th franchise. Manning joins Olympic skier Mikaela Shiffrin and others under lead owner Rob Cohen, aiming to create a community-focused club. The team, which remains unnamed, will play its first two seasons at a temporary stadium in Centennial before relocating to a new 14,500-seat facility in Denver. The franchise's $110 million expansion fee is a league record. Manning, who called his role an honor, continues the trend of high-profile athlete investment in the NWSL, following his brother Eli's stake in Gotham FC and Patrick Mahomes' involvement with the KC Current.
