ShareChat Moj Chief Business Officer Gaurav Jain Resigns

Gaurav Jain, Chief Business Officer at ShareChat and its short-video app Moj, has announced his departure from the company after joining in October 2022 and being promoted to CBO in November 2023. During his tenure, Jain played a key role in driving monetisation strategies, ad sales, creator partnerships, and virtual gifting, focusing particularly on the burgeoning short-form video ecosystem aimed at India's Tier 2 and Tier 3 vernacular audiences. Prior to ShareChat, Jain led APAC business expansion at Snap and held leadership roles at Meta India and Google APAC, bringing extensive regional experience to his role. ShareChat has appointed its CFO, Manohar Charan, as co-founder to oversee business operations during the transition, and is currently searching for Jain’s replacement. Jain hinted that his next move will be a broader Pan-Asian leadership role, expanding beyond India to leverage his expertise across the region. This leadership change comes amid ShareChat's recent corporate restructuring, including co-founder departures and a 5% workforce reduction, while the company reported a 33% revenue increase in FY24.
