Multiple UK Road Closures Announced for Major Infrastructure Works

Multiple road closures and traffic restrictions are planned across various regions to facilitate infrastructure and maintenance works. In Wrexham, several roads including Watery Road, Ruabon Road, Borras Road, Stansty Road, the A5156, and Pentre Lane will be closed intermittently from early October 2025, primarily for clearing blockages, rigging works, and resurfacing. Bicester will see a two-day closure of Blenheim Drive and Leach Road in early October for micro surfacing, with local diversions in place. Southend Council is conducting a two-phase gas main replacement project from late September to November 2025, involving closures and access restrictions on Barnstaple Road, Elm Grove, Fermoy Road, and Thorpe Hall Avenue, while maintaining access for residents, emergency vehicles, and pedestrians.
