Kadarius Toney Arrested on Assault and 911 Charges
Kadarius Toney, a former wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants, was arrested on February 6 in Georgia, facing charges of aggravated assault and obstructing a 911 call. The charges stem from an alleged incident on January 14, where Toney is accused of strangling a woman, causing red marks on her neck and petechial hemorrhaging in her eyes, and preventing her from calling the police by taking her phone. Arrest warrants were issued on January 15, and Toney was held on a $25,000 bond for each charge. Toney, who also played briefly for the Cleveland Browns last season, has not yet commented on the incident. This arrest comes after a tumultuous career in the NFL, marked by injuries and team changes despite his talent and two Super Bowl victories with the Chiefs.
