Punjab launches electric bus service, enhancing urban mobility

Lahore is set to launch an electric bus project with 27 buses aimed at reducing pollution and enhancing urban mobility, benefiting approximately 17,000 commuters daily. The Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will inaugurate the service, which features modern amenities like GPS, Wi-Fi, and wheelchair accessibility. Meanwhile, Stagecoach North Scotland has introduced six fully electric buses on its M96 route between Inverness and Aberdeen, contributing to a zero-emission goal by 2035. These buses will help reduce CO2 emissions while improving accessibility for all passengers. Similarly, Stagecoach West has rolled out 55 electric buses in Oxford, demonstrating the city's commitment to electrification and a significant reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions. This move reflects a broader trend in the UK towards sustainable public transport solutions.
