A 15-year-old girl was struck by a trailer while walking on the Bruxner Highway around 5pm on September 11, 2024, and despite immediate first aid, she later died at Lismore Base Hospital. Separately, a 65-year-old woman died after her car veered off the road and crashed into a paddock south of Lismore the same night. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding both incidents, with a report to be prepared for the Coroner.
