GTA 5 PC Upgrade Launches with New Features March 2025

Rockstar Games has announced a free upgrade for GTA 5 on PC, set to release on March 4, 2025, bringing it in line with the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. This upgrade will introduce features such as ray tracing, faster loading times through SSD and DirectStorage, and support for technologies like AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS. The update also includes new vehicles, ambient animals, and enhanced graphics options, along with support for DualSense adaptive triggers and Dolby Atmos audio. Notably, FiveM servers will support the upgrade, but players using the legacy version will not have cross-play with those on the upgraded version. Although the upgrade is free, it requires meeting certain hardware specifications, and players will retain their progress in both single-player and GTA Online modes. This update offers a stopgap for PC players as they await GTA 6, anticipated for a 2025 release.
