Recent changes in X's server routing through Cloudflare have allowed some users to bypass the restrictions, although the Brazilian telecommunications regulator, Anatel, is investigating this development. Justice Alexandre de Moraes, who ordered the ban, has also threatened fines for VPN use, further complicating the situation. Although some users, including journalists, regained access, the legality and permanence of this workaround remain uncertain. Former President Jair Bolsonaro has publicly supported the platform's return, framing the ban as judicial overreach.
