Leicester, Nottingham 10K Events Prompt Multiple Road Closures

Drivers across the Midlands are facing multiple road closures and disruptions due to various upcoming events and construction works. The Leicester 10k, scheduled for March 2, will lead to significant road closures from 5am to 1pm, affecting Jubilee Square and other key routes as participants navigate through the city. Similarly, Nottingham will experience its own 10k event on March 9, necessitating closures from 5am to 1pm, with various streets including the Old Market Square impacted. In addition, the M54 will see 53 days of overnight closures starting later this month for concrete repairs, which include weekend closures to minimize disruption. There are also ongoing HS2-related closures of the A46 between Coventry and Kenilworth, alongside an eight-hour closure of the A516/A38 slip road in Derby for vegetation clearance.
