Nick Marsh Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

Michigan State wide receiver Nick Marsh has been awarded the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after a standout performance in the Spartans' 27-24 victory over Maryland. Marsh recorded eight receptions for 194 yards, marking the 10th-highest single-game total in program history and the second-most by a Spartan freshman. His critical plays included a 77-yard touchdown catch that tied the game and a 57-yard reception in the fourth quarter, demonstrating a strong connection with sophomore quarterback Aidan Chiles. Additionally, Marsh was recognized as the 247Sports True Freshman of the Week and currently ranks third in the Big Ten with an average of 102.5 receiving yards per game. The Spartans, now 2-0, will face Prairie View A&M next on September 14. Marsh's achievement makes him the first Spartan to earn this honor since Katin Houser last November.
